DEPARTMENTS

The commission coordinates the activities of all local government in the state through the four departments in its composition. The departments are;
1. Departments of Management services.
2. Departments of Appointment, disciples and pensions.
3. Departments of manpower developments and training.
4. Departments of promotion posting and transfer.

Department of Management Services

1. It monitors and supervises the performances of works in the twenty local governments and newly created local council development areas.
2.It represented the commission in all matters concerning the commission in all matters concerning the commission and other governmental and corporate agencies.
3. It functions through some specialized unit; planning research and statistics, legal technical information and accounts.

Department of Appointment Discipline and Pensions

1. The department of Appointment discipline and pensions performed activities such as conversion, upgrading confirmation pension matters normalization of appointment and discipline of erring members of staff.

Department of Manpower Development and Training

1. The departments is in charge of training and retraining of staff in all the local governments.
2.It represents the commission at the various level of government within and outside the state where issues relating to training of local governments workers are discussed.
3. The departments monitors the conducts of managers in the local governments.
4. For uniformity sake, the department handles the sales of marriage certificates to all local governments in the state.
5.The department is in charge of inspection and recommend of churches for license.
6. The departments and recommend officers for and in service training approach.

The Department of Promotion, posting & Transfer

1. The department ensures the effective implementation of the policies of the commission in the areas of promotion, posting & transfer. The department also handles application for transfer of services either from or to the local government services.
